L'érotisme des problèmes

Apprendre à philosopher au risque du désir

Preface by Michel Fabre

Hors Collection

This book tries to understand how problems can be desirable – by contrast with common sense which associates "problems" with "troubles". If one considers philosophy as an activity of construction of problems (creation of concepts, would say Deleuze), learning critical thinking leads to this question : how does one come to desire problems, instead of looking for solutions – which, by getting rid of problems, prevent us from building ourselves subjectively.
This research is in line with the great philosophies of the problem (Dewey, Bachelard, Deleuze, Meyer) with Michel Fabre has shown the importance to understand that it means to think. I extend its work by showing the importance of the desire to structure the activity of thought itself. The question then becomes as ethical as epistemological: one constructs real problems insofar as one really desires to produce the necessary efforts to rigorous thinking.
